Bundles of Joy

Bundles of Joy Home Delivery Program Banner

Welcome to Bundles of Joy!

Bundles of Joy is a monthly delivery program serving rural families who have welcomed an infant in the last 12 months. We understand that it can be challenging to make it to a library branch with a new baby, so we’re bringing the library to you! Each Bundle of Joy kit will include library items for the family, some helpful resources for adults, and even some activities for older siblings.

Deliveries will be made by Ox on the Run staff monthly, and the day of the week will depend on which township you live in. Staff will send a reminder notification on the delivery date, and we ask that you leave your previous delivery bag on the porch so we can make the swap and leave you with new library goodies.

Families can enjoy Bundles of Joy delivery service for up to one year. After 12 bundles, we hope that you’ll join us back at the library and tell us all about your new favourite books.

Bundles of Joy FAQs

Deliveries will be made once a month, so you can keep the items until your new bag is delivered.  If there is something you’d like to keep longer, please just let library staff know!

Use the Bundles of Joy website to fill out the registration form, or call your local library branch for assistance with registering.

If you are ready for the program to end, or need to pause delivery, you can leave a note in your last delivery bag, get in touch with library staff via email (oxontherun@ocl.net), or phone your local branch.

Your delivery date will vary depending on which Township you reside in. Deliveries will be made once a month, and you will get a reminder prior to it being dropped off.

Please use the included feedback form and return it with your bag, or scan the QR code to access the online form.

You can participate if you have welcomed a baby in the last 12 months, have an Oxford County Library card, and live in rural Oxford County (this program excludes the city of Woodstock residents).

If you need library card, please email oxontherun@ocl.net or call your local branch and we will get you set up!

Each bag includes library items for the entire family, helpful resources for parents, and activities for older siblings. Your first bag comes with a book for baby to keep, and a gift for older siblings!

Deliveries can be left outside your door, no problem! Please ensure you’ve left your previous delivery bag outside so we can collect it. If you will be away for an extended period of time and want to skip a month, please contact oxontherun@ocl.net

Place all of the library items back inside the bag and put it outside your door on your delivery day. The library staff will pick up your old bag and drop off a new one! You also can return items to any Oxford County Library branch as well.

Yes! You can return other Oxford County Library items if they fit inside the bag and the bag zips closed.

If the delivery vehicle is not on the road due to weather conditions, we will contact you to reschedule your delivery.

Yes! Don’t forget to log your reading on the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge on Beanstack or on the paper tracker. Re-reading the same book over and over counts too!

Yes! Please let us know their interests, and we will try our best to choose items for them too! They’ll also get fun activities included in the bag.

Absolutely! As long as no one is waiting for the item(s), library staff are happy to renew them for you.  Just let us know that you’d like to hold on to them a little longer.

You can participate for up to one year. After that, we’d love for you to join us at the library again!

This program is made possible by the Peg Caffyn Bequest.
