Local Author Fair

Oxford County Library, in partnership with Woodstock Public Library, is pleased to invite local authors to apply for the Oxford County Local Author Fair on Saturday April 27, 2024 at the Ingersoll Branch. The event will run from 10am-2pm, with author reading spotlights happening throughout the day.

Applications are due by Sunday March 3th, 2024. 

*Please note that due to space constraints that not all applicants are guaranteed to be accepted. Successful applicants will be contacted directly by Oxford County Library. Authors must reside within Oxford County to be considered for the Oxford County Local Author Fair.

Rules:

  • Commit to the entire time frame for the event (author reading spotlights are optional)
  • Meet and greet with community members 
  • Authors must reside in Oxford County (including Woodstock)
  • Authors will present one (1) book
  • You may bring copies of your book to sell independently (the library will not assist in sales or cash handling)
  • All submissions must meet the selection criteria as outlined in Oxford County Library’s Collection Development Policy
  • Adult, teen, and children’s books of all genres are eligible
  • The submission content should not contravene Canadian legislation. Acceptance of a submission does not constitute an endorsement of its content by the Oxford County Library Board.
