Oxford County seeks an engaged citizen looking to make a difference in our community by joining the Accessibility Advisory Committee. The opening is for the remainder of the 2023-2026 council term. While this is a volunteer position, board members are entitled to some remuneration for their time and expenses to attend meetings. Advisory Board members receive $100 for half-day or less and $175 for a full day.

Oxford County Paramedic Services responds to bus rollover in South-West Oxford

Oxford County Paramedic Services responded to a school bus rollover at the corner of Dodge Line and Cuthbert Road in South-West Oxford Township this morning.

The incident occurred at 8:15 a.m. Five Oxford County Paramedic Services ambulances and one superintendent responded to the call. Paramedics transported six patients with minor injuries to area hospitals. One additional patient was transported by ORNGE air ambulance to London with non-life-threatening injuries.

The flags at all Oxford County facilities are flying at half-mast to honour the passing of the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney, Canada’s 18th Prime Minister. Flags will remain at half-mast until sunset on the day of his funeral.

A text scam involving the Ontario Court of Justice is making the rounds in Oxford County.

The Ontario Court of Justice will never make phone calls or send texts demanding money or detailed personal information. If you receive such a call or text, consider it a scam.
