Education and Nurture
The key to any organization's success is its ability to establish and maintain a caring community. As members of the Body of Christ, we seek to promote spiritual growth, fellowship, outreach, and education in which all feel included and are warmly welcomed.
As part of our ministry we offer classes for baptism, first communion, confirmation, and marriage. We also have adult education groups studying the Bible and other contemporary theological issues. We have an active nursery for infants to four years, and a church school from kindergarten to grade six.
- Junior Youth Group - Grade 7 & 8.
- Senior Youth Group - High School.
- Adult Bible Study - Takes place each fall and winter with a variety of programs available.
- Alpha - We are an Alpha community.
Within our Education & Nurture ministry we have altar guild members, quilters, a sewing group, St. James' Church Women, Brotherhood of Anglican churchmen, church school teaching staff, and a youth group.
In Touch, our quarterly newsletter, keeps us "in touch" with everyone in the congregation.
Leadership
The people of St. James work together with our parish priest to carry out the ministry to which God calls us. We offer opportunities to improve leadership skills to better serve our faith community.
