         2002

The sixth annual James McIntyre Poetry Evening was held on Thursday November 7, in the Town of Ingersoll's beautiful Council Chambers. The purpose of this event was to honour the winners of the James McIntyre Poetry Contest and to celebrate Ingersoll's unique poetic heritage. Below are a few candid shots of the event. MC Yvonne Holmes Mott welcomed everyone to the Poetry Evening

Cheese Poet Laureate Shirley Lovell introduced our guest speaker, David Butler

David Butler spoke about the agricultural art of his father, Ross Butler of Woodstock

David brought paintings, prints, sculptures, and photographs to illustrate Ross Butler's work.
