Rememberance Day 1997
By: Shirley Lovell
See them coming down the street,
Stepping to the rhythm's beat.
Drum and bagpipe playing strong,
Giving forth a rousing song.
Scott and Hawkins lead the rest,
Proudly marching, smartly dressed.
Remember now, from our great land
Those brave young men who took a stand,
Against a foe of strength and might.
And willingly took up the fight
To preserve democracy.
They did it all for you and me.
Though many went, just some returned,
And in our hearts a place they've earned.
We owe a debt we can't repay.
So bow your heads and humbly pray
That those who fought and suffered pain
Will know their fight was not in vain.
THANKS GUYS!
