This picture shows Norwich Fire Department on John Street in Norwich. It was taken circa 1924. The people in the picture are: #1 Roy Griswold, #2 Herb Ennis, #3 Vivian Rachar, #4 Harry Herrick, #5 Milton Buckborough, #6 Mel Buck, #7 Floyd Mussell,  #8 David Newton, #9 John Armour, #10 Chris McIntyre,and Fire and Light Committee Chair Person and Town Councillor Bill Hooper (in the trench coat). The picture is available from the Norwich Archives, R.R. # 3 Norwich, Ontario, Canada, N0J 1P0.

This picture was given to the Norwich Firefighters by the estate of Harold Williams. It shows some past firefighters in front of the 1938 Chevrolet Pumper. We have identified all of the people in the photograph, but we are unsure of the spelling of Mr. Stenstra's first name, and Henry Van's last name. If you recognize anyone, please e-mail us so we can have more accurate information about this photograph. The names of the people are: He-man Stenstra (not sure of spelling on the first name) Jack Inglis, Norm Purdy, Basil Baines, Bill Williams, M. Buck, Henry Van_____, Norm Lees.
