It has been 5 years since this web site began as an idea for a school project. What was a collection of 5 pages back then has grown into a collection of 34 pages containing the history, stories, pictures, and information about the Norwich Save A Life Fund and about the Township of Norwich Fire Department Station # 2. I never imagined it would come this far.
It is my hope that the site shows that even Volunteer Fire Companies have extensive training in fire fighting, emergency medicine and hazardous materials. While they may not be as busy as a big city fire department, they still take the same risks and deal with the same dangers. I hope that this web site also celebrates Fire fighters in Norwich and world wide for the job that they do.
I would also like to thank all of our visitors from near and far. The e-mails I have gotten from around the world tell me that the work that gets put into the site is worth it. To all the people who have graciously donated money for the Save A Life Fund's projects, I would also like to say thank you. You might not realize it when you make that donation, but it shows the spirit of our town. We are there to help each other out. That donation also shows the support our fire fighters enjoy in our town and it shows just how much we appreciate the work that they do.
