About Norwich and Oxford County
| The Village of Norwich is located in the southeast quadrant of Oxford County. Oxford County is located in the heart of Southwestern Ontario. Oxford is largely agricultural, dominated by prosperous dairy farms. Its three urban municipalities are Woodstock, Ingersoll, and Tillsonburg. Oxford can boast of having one of the finest and most complete historical municipal records holdings in the province, thanks to once-plentiful vault space in the splendid County Court House in Woodstock (the records' home for many decades), and the efforts of a previous Clerk to preserve the County's history. The County of Oxford was restructured in 1975, and key records of the restructuring process are available for purchase in book format. |  |
