Member’s Council Comprised of members in good standing of the centre. They are elected or acclaimed to their position to represent all members of the centre. Terms of office are for a period of 2 years and members may stand for re-election for a second term. Meetings are usually held on the third Monday of every month. The goal of the current Member’s Council is to reestablish the following committees; property, public relations & advertising, special interest, fund raising, volunteer, and social/special events. Contact a representative from the Members’ Council if interested in sitting on one of these committees. |
Duties & Responsibilities 1. To promote friendship/fellowship and mutual understanding throughout the Centre. 2. To encourage and promote programs aimed at meeting the needs of all members. 3. Members Council will make recommendations for policy for approval by the Board. 4. Will assist staff with development and delivery of programs, special events and fundraising. 5.
To advise staff and the
Board, regarding concerns and suggestions voiced by the users of the
Centre through the Members Council. |
