75+ DINER'S CLUB - fun, fellowship and good food for seniors 75 years of age and over at a variety of locations. Transportation is included in the cost. Click HERE for schedule.
Equipment Lending Service - We are now offering a new program for seniors who are in need of used equipment. We will lend out wheel chairs, walkers, raised toilet seats etc. for a minimal deposit which will be refunded when equipment is returned.
Note: - We are now accepting donations of used equipment to lend out for this service we are providing.
First Aid For Seniors - The Woodstock Oxford Branch of the Red Cross is pleased to offer a new non-certification course customized to suit the needs of today’s seniors.
Sign registration book if interested. Course will be offered at the Centre if there is enough interest.

FROSTY MEALS -
nutritious frozen meals for take out and delivery (entrees, soups,
desserts) Special diets accommodated. Please have orders in by Monday or
Wednesday. Delivery will be Tuesdays and Thursdays. Pick up will still be
anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please call ahead to have your
order ready. These home-style meals can be heated in
regular ovens or the microwave and since they are frozen, they can be kept
on hand in your freezer and ready whenever you are! Available for take out or
delivery. Frosty Meal Gift Certificates make a great gift.

HANDYPERSON - help with routine home maintenance jobs such as yard work, window washing, general assistance and minor repairs: carpentry, easy electrical, small plumbing jobs, housecleaning and respite service.
HELP WITH FORMS - We can provide assistance with completing forms (Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, Housing Application, etc) We can also make referrals to programs and services that are available in the community. Financial Assistance may be available to cover some program costs. All inquiries will be kept confidential.
HOT MEALS ON WHEELS - We can always use more volunteer drivers as many of our drivers have been with the program for over 30 years. The time commitment is up to you. Our volunteers work on a rotating 6 week schedule. We also have a “Spare List” we would like to add names to.
Meals available Monday - Thursday at 12:00 noon. The cost for each meal is $5.00. If you or someone you know could benefit from receiving a hot meal please call 519-485-3869 for more information. Help us to help give them a break. If you can help out one day or more or be on a spare list please speak to anyone of the staff or council members
INFORMATION & REFERRALS - resource for CPP, OAS, GIS, etc forms & information, and available community programs and services.
Life Call - Help at the press of a button - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week providing you with access to assistance if you fall or become ill. This an ideal solution for anyone living alone in the comfort of their own home. Being a distributor of this service, allows us to raise extra funds.
Musical Talents? - Have you ever been somewhere and loved the entertainment? If so we would like to hear from you! We are always looking for fresh new ideas and people with talent to entertain for us. Please speak to anyone of the staff or council members.
Promoting Services - We are always looking for opportunities to get out into the community and inform people about our services. If you belong to an organization and would like us to do a presentation please speak to anyone of the staff or council members . Our presentations promote and explain the services offered by Ingersoll Services for Seniors as well as the programs available at the Senior Centre.
SHOPPING BUDDIES - links a volunteer with a senior for grocery shopping, etc.
Subsidized Services - Do not hesitate to let us know if you are unable to pay for a service. Subsidies are available for individuals who meet our criteria. All matters are strictly kept confidential.
SUPPORTIVE HOUSING - Are you looking for an affordable alternative to retirement home living? Our Supportive Housing program offers availability of 24 hour, flexible homemaking care in your own apartment at specified sites. Also included on site are foot clinics, diners’ club, help with forms and social programs. Volunteers are also needed to assist with weekly social programs. Please speak to anyone of the staff or council members for more information.

TELEPHONE REASSURANCE - Volunteers provide a daily phone call to individuals who would benefit from receiving a friendly visit though telephone conversation. If you know of anyone in the community who would benefit from this type of service please let us know.
TRANSNET - a wheelchair accessible ride program provides transportation services to Oxford County residents with disabilities to help them maintain their independence in the community. Call for further information
TRANSPORTATION - to Medical appointments, etc... especially out of town. A caring volunteer
driver will escort and wait with the client.
If you can spare a couple
of hours each week helping drive clients to appointments or delivering
frozen meals it would be greatly appreciated.
