The Colombo Club of Oxford was founded in 1970 and incorporated in 1972 as a non-profit agency. The Colombo Club was built and founded by its members.

The Colombo Club has a board of 11 directors which change every year by means of election which takes place in January. Executives hold office for 2 years.

The Colombo Club hall can hold up to 300 people. When renting the Colombo Club, a bar and bar tending service is available. The cost for most alcoholic drinks is $2.75 (which is the same price members pay!) To rent the Colombo Club for a Friday or Saturday is $300. If one were to bring a permit and accompanying liquor, that is permissible, provided Colombo Club bartenders are present at all times. To rent the Colombo Club for a weekday (Sunday to Thursday) is $200. To rent the Colombo Club for a weekday (Sunday to Thursday) during the day-time/half-day for a shower, seminar, or meeting is $150. No outside caterers are allowed, all catering services are provided through the club itself.

HOURS OF OPERATION:

• Wednesday - 7pm to midnight
• Friday - 7pm to midnight
• Sunday - 2pm to 4:30pm

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:

• There are 5-10 social members of the Colombo Club and 80 regulars.
• Everyone is welcome to become a member of the Colombo Club.
• Applications to become a member are available at the club's bar.
• There is a membership fee of $25, seniors 65+ are $15 a year.

COLOMBO CLUB EVENTS:

• Every 1st and 3rd Friday 5-7:30 is Spaghetti dinner, salad / spaghetti / meatballs / bread provided for $8.50 for adults, and for $5.00 for kids portions (12 and under).
• Members Dinner
• Anniversary Open House
• Summer Picnic
• The Veterans parade every November
• New Years Party (Get your tickets early! This usually sells out!)
