ROUSE AND VAN DER CAR(KAR,KARRE) FAMILIES: Ruloff Van der Karre's daughter received a Land grant as dau. of Loyalist. She married George Rouse. They farmed in Oxford Co.(?Zorra Twp.?) from ?? 1800 until Anna Van de Car died @1836. George and most, if not all his sons came first to LaPorte Indiana for a year, then on to Louisa County, Iowa @1840. Then on to Jo Daviess County, Illinois....believe some of dau of George Rouse may also have come...but none verified yet. Have the Van der Karre genealogy, but want to find anything about the ROUSE family. Know that George's son George born in Ontario 1821, but dont know his order in siblings...others were James, William, ?Horace, and 3-4 girls...any help would be greatly accepted on ROUSE genealogy.

Jacob VINCENT and Ann MAIN, married in the Brock District on 7 May 1847 in the Wesleyan Methodist Church. The 1851 Census of East Zorra, Oxford County lists Jacob Vincent 28, Ann Vincent 30 and James Vincent 14, religion Methodist. Jacob and Ann may have moved to Sanilac County, Michigan as there is a Jacob and Ann Vincent listed in the 1860 census there. I would appreciate any search suggestions or someone willing to do a search in Oxford County for me.
