Interesting site. I was told by my father John David Burgess Sr. (His father was Stu Burgess)that I was a decendent of the original Burgess family that settled Burgessville. I think they came from Boston and were ship builders?? A great aunt who lived in Burgessville said I was the last male in that family tree? If anyone has any information on the Burgess Genealogy please drop me an e-mail.

I am trying to obtain certifications on the family of Thomas Staley (Stailey) and Susan Day Staley (Stailey) who appear on the 1881 census Nissouri East, Oxford North Ontario District 166 Sub district A Div 1 page 13 household number 62. This census lists a Valina Stailey age 4 who should be the gr grandmother of my husband. This family in 1887 is naturalized in the USA. I would appreciate any help in obtaining the Canadian information on this family (marriage certs, birth certs, baptism certs etc)

Thank you in advance for your time and effort.

I am seeking any information from anyone with information on a Frederick Hartsell that pass away in Alexandra Hospital in 1957.

Re: Following as posted in the Ingersoll Tribune.
F. HARTSELL PASSES IN HOSPITAL--Following a long period of ill health and seriously ill for the past week, Frederick Hartsell passed away in Alexandra Hospital, on Thursday, September 19th. Mr. Hartsell, who was born in the USA, was in his 74th year and before coming to Ingersoll to reside had lived in Brantford, Norwich and Tillsonburg. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, the former Agnes Dowell; two daughters, and one sister, Mrs. George Gale of Brantford. The funeral was held from the Walker and Clifton Funeral Home, 88 King St. W., on Saturday afternoon, where service was conducted at one o'clock by Captain H. Tilley of the Salvation Army. Interment was made in the Ingersoll Rural Cemetery.
My family were Hartsell’s, George Benson Hartsell & Sarah Elizabeth [MUMA] Hartsell. (Not connection to the above Frederick Hartsell.)
As having lived with my grandmother Hartsell in Ingersll, back in 1947 until 1955. I can not recall any other Hartsell family living in Ingersll, at that time. I would like to know if there may be any connection to the above mentioned Frederick Hartsell.
If you have any information that may be of help please contact Michael L. Bolton at e-mail (mnm@avci.net) thank you.
