I am researching two African-American families that moved to South Norwich, Oxford County. The Robert H. and Harriet Williams family moved to Otterville about 1852 from Macedon, Wayne Co., NY. Elijah Chase moved into South Norwich in the mid 1860s from Kent Co., Ontario. His family also had moved to Canada from Macedon, Wayne Co., NY about 1852. By any chances are there folks who may also be searching these families? Thanks.

Looking for information on Sidney Hawes and Annie Redhead of Burwell Cambridgeshire who moved to Ingersoll (when?) and had daughter Edna. Sidney died 1960 ( Ingersoll Tribune). Where is the rest of the family? Edna Hawes married Lloyd Ryan, when where?
Annie is my aunt.

I have been struggling for over 25 years researching my family history and was delighted to find the Oxford Library site. It gave me a lot of missing information about this branch of the family. As I live in England, a personal visit was not an option. However - I would like to know if an obituary is available for Harry Gordon-States who died on December 31st 1970 in Linhaven home, St Catharines, Ontario, and is burried at Ingersoll Cemetery (on 4th January 1971)
