I discovered that William McCauley & Elizabeth (Crowe) had a daughter Mary Ann in 1873 in South Norwich. I hope to connect this William as a brother to my Grandmother, Margretta, who was raised in Grey County (Proton). Any information re: McCauleys & Howells from Oxford County would be greatly appreciated. I believe William's parents were Thomas and Susan (Howell) who might have come to Oxford from Scotland in the 1830-40's before moving to Grey County. Thanks.

Seeking informattion on the family of James McCarty - Welsh, Baptist, Carpenter of Drumbo abt1858-1879. Married to Martha Prentice 1838-1914. 10 children Thomas P. 1872-1953 was my gfather. After Jame's death Martha resided in Paris with 7 of the ten children.

James and Martha buried in Drumbo Cemetery.

I beleive both were from the St George area before residing in Drumbo. John Gleeson(Gleason) and Dr Cooke were witnesses at their marriage in Paris, Ont. 5 Sept., 1858.

Looking for any information on our Great Grandparents Frederick West who came from England to East Oxford in 1872 and married Eliza Jane (Jennie) Wood in 1878. The marriage took place at the home of William West. He worked for a cheese maker (Ballentine). Also interested in the Thomas Mollins family and the Jaques family of Burgessville. Thank you.

We are trying to find any info about our Great Great Grandmother Harriett, beloved wife of Sidney Gustin Wood. She is buried in the Quaker Street Cemetery. She had 2 daughters that we know of Eliza Jane (West) and Phebe (Hartsell). Looking for her maiden name.

I have viewed your web site and links with interest and they are quite informative. I found an ancestor listed in the transcribed records for North Embro Cemetary. Has a map or site plan of the cemetary been developed to aid in locating specific burial location(s)? I visited the cemetary but the size precludes an easy search. Regards
