Dad mentions in one of his family history books that, when he researched in Ingersoll in the late 1980s, he found a wealth of records, including well indexed newspapers. It is evident that the library staff placed many of these on line. In conjuction with the vital stats records, this is the best local genealogy site that I have ever seen. Contratulations.

I am looking for any information concerning Lillian Rose Greenslade who was born in April 1896. She immigrated to Canada from England in 1909 making her 13 years old. It shows in the 1911 Canadian Census that she lived with George Byron Knox's family and it states that she was his daughter. I would love to know if there was an truth to this and what happened to Lillian in the years to come.

Hi, am am looking for information on my great grandmother;Florence morrison ,is her married name,born 1900 to 1978, hamilton ontario. her husband was full scottish ,she was half or full indian huron descent. her mom and dad may of lived on a reserve in ontario,grandma was with birth 17 times ,I only know three ,my grandfather,thomas albert morrison,1927 to 1993 henderson hospital hamilton ontario canada, he had two sisters maxene , and louise born around 1936. Any help would be greatly welcomed,thank -you.

Looking for info on Jackson Hetherington & his family,He was a seargent(R.129600)states he was a musician on his marriage cert) in the C.R.A.F. stationed in Chivenor, Devon,Uk in 1943. Married an English Girl Leone McDermott Aug. 1943 in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, they had a baby girl born Jan 1946. he was back in Canada before the birth as I've just found the following info that he crossed the border at Detroit alone on the 15/11/1945 - stating he was born in Ingersoll aged 29yrs 1mth, occupation US soldier; listing his departure contact as his parents Wm J & Laura of 130 Centre St. St. Thomas (last permanent address) Destination "H" 3503th AAF Base Unit, Scott Field,Illinois. Died 14/6/1976 buried in L.A. National Cementery.think he may have had a brother Malcolm. Anymore family information would be great, If he married & had more children or brothers & sisters etc
