If you are looking for an exciting and exotic web page on the Internet, try one of the most adventurous web sites around: http://www.discovery.com. Whether young or old, you will find an enormous selection of articles, games, and activities that will keep you from getting bored during the long and hot days of summer.

Look for the latest health news, check out exotic travel opportunities, find out about breeds of dogs or cats, follow the adventures of a crocodile hunter or enter the world of emergency veterinary care.

The “World of Discovery” page is owned and operated by the very popular and educational Discovery Channel. You can browse through the highlighted articles for the day, check your discovery email, or go shopping in the discovery store. This web site has a feature called “Web Express” which takes you to a page that is devoted to news and entertainment. You can even check the stock market and look up the weather forecast for certain areas of the world.

You can customize your Discovery experience further by selecting which types of newsletters and email reminders you will receive if you choose to become a member of the web site. However, being a member is not a necessary condition to accessing the discovery page.

The discovery site is designed for both the young and old. There is a huge resource of “animal cams,” each offering live images of animals from around the world in various parks. For instance, you can see crocodiles from the Australia Zoo, sharks from an aquarium in Hawaii, or gorillas in the Oklahoma City Zoo. There are also live camera images relating to people, the planet, space, and travel. For instance, you could observe the streets of New York from a camera mounted in a New York taxi.

This web page also has a vast amount of information on the latest news in the various fields of science and medicine. You can visit web sites for other popular television channels such as Animal Planet, The Learning Channel, and The Travel Channel from this page. There are endless possibilities to discover.
