Paintedhouse.com

All home decorators out there are probably already familiar with the television show Debbie Travis' Painted House. But did you know that there is an accompanying Painted House web site too? It can be found at http://www.paintedhouse.com. According to Debbie's letter to the readers, "the web site is over 600 pages long and full of free information and pictures and hundreds of ideas."

At the site, you can check out the show's schedule for the next few months. It will help you schedule a time to watch the latest episode of the Painted House, or to catch up on a previous episode you may have missed. You can read Debbie's letters to her viewers at the site too. She will let you in on what is coming up for next season, where in the world the show is now being broadcast, and some of the show's history.

If you want to check out Debbie's latest ventures, you can visit her online shop to browse the books she has written and take advantage of her special promotions. Canadian residents can even purchase an autographed copy of her latest book Decoration Solutions, which she co-wrote with Barbara Dingle.

Debbie knows that amateur home decorators sometimes need that extra bit of help. If you have ever found yourself in a situation where you have just labouriously scraped all the wallpaper off your kitchen walls and do not know if that base coat underneath is oil or latex, Debbie's list of frequently asked questions is at your fingertips. You can find out how to tell what kind of paint is on the walls, and what kind of paint you can apply on top of it. If you have a question you cannot find the answer for, you can e-mail Debbie your specifically.

The most impressive aspect of the site is the "About Each Show" section. From here, you can access a list of all Debbie's 129 shows, pictures of the finished rooms, and detailed instructions on how to recreate the effect in your own home. If there is a nursery, kitchen, home office, bedroom, staircase, or even an outdoor project in your home that you would like to renovate, there are plenty of ideas to utilize from this site. Have fun viewing, and good luck decorating!
