Blink and You'll Miss the Best Part

Commercials are big business. Advertising space during a popular television show costs tens-sometimes hundreds-of thousands of dollars. And for special event like the Superbowl, the Emmy's, or Survivor II a thirty second timeslot will cost millions.
If the commercial is well produced, it's worth the expense. Catchy slogans, theme songs and plots will stay in the consumer's memory for a long time.
But it's not unusual to find that the commercials, a thirty second blurb that can be so easily missed as you make a trip to the refrigerator, is often the best thing on the air. Adcritic.com (http://www.adcritic.com) lets you watch your favourite commercials again and again.
Along the left side of the Adcritic.com screen are options to assist the user in navigating the site. A user can enter keywords-either very general terms such as "duck" or the specific company name, such as "Clearnet." Either search path will produce Clearnet's "Disco Duck" commercial.
If you would prefer to randomly flip through the available commercials you can opt to use the "Random Ad Generator" option.
Advertisements are grouped into a number of categories: "New Ads This Week," "Top 10 Commercials," and "The Top 100 List" to further simplify an individual's use of the site.
Clicking on any advertisement causes the commercial to download for playback purposes. You can then play it over and over or save it to your computer or future enjoyment.
Do you miss the "I am Canadian" rant? Can't get enough of the Taco Bell dog? Do you want to understand the origin of the catch phrase "Whasssup?" Adcritic.com is the site for you!
