"Big Brother Is Not the Only One Watching"
July 29, 2000
Steve Bellinger

If you have turned on your television or listened to the news lately then you have probably heard about the show Big Brother. The basic idea of the program is to capture the lives of ten contestants in a house using video cameras, then show that footage five nights a week on CBS. If the three thirty-minute episodes and two one-hour episodes aren't enough to satisfy your Big Brother needs every week, then you are in luck. Twenty-four hour access to the show's live cameras can be found online at http://bigbrother2000.com.

Now, when William gets out of bed, you can be there. When Jamie eats her breakfast, you are right there with her. The picture and sound on the video is surprisingly good quality, although that will depend on the speed of your Internet connection. However, if you are just interested in peeking into the house, the quality is more then adequate.

If your schedule doesn't allow for watching the live video every minute of the day there is still a way for you to know exactly what is going on. This site offers a "News Section," which details the days most crucial events. Biographies for each of the ten contestants can also be viewed. These profiles give a brief glimpse of who the contestants were before they began the show. This web site also contains an in-depth look at the house. Here you can find information on each of the living quarter areas. Finally, there is a casting information link for people who want to know exactly what type of personality it takes to get on the show.

Looking for more information on Big Brother? Visit the official CBS site at http://www.cbs.com/network/tvshows/mini/bigbrother/. Here you can find the official rules of the show and details about the application process the contestants had to endure.

With the use of the Internet, your Big Brother experience does not have to end with the television. Enjoy it on as many levels as you dare!
