No more digging through the recycling box. No more automated answering services. The next time you need to find out where a movie is playing, or at what time, the Internet will have the answer. Log on to Tribute.ca (http://www.tribute.ca).
If you have been in a movie theatre recently then you are probably familiar with Tribute. The entertainment magazine-available in Adult, Teen, and Kid editions-is free for theatre patrons to browse before the show.
Tribute.ca not only provides an online adaptation of the text of each magazine, but also supplies information on video releases and works in progress.
The e-news link provides a user with all the latest rumours and scandals out of Hollywood and information on upcoming features are easily accessible.
The search capability of the site is its most useful feature. It is possible to search by actor or movie title and end up with general publicity information.
Under the link "Show Times and Theatres," it is possible to generate a current list of all the movies playing in a specific city or theatre, such as exactly what is playing at the Wellington 8 theatre in London today.
While this feature is useful for out-of-town theatre-goers, the site unfortunately does not list movies playing in Woodstock or Tillsonburg.
Trying to make plans to see a movie doesn't have to be a tedious process. Everything is online-let the Internet do the work for you.
Internet Tip: The Internet has become a new advertising venue for the movie industry. Nearly every movie has its own Web site that provides a plethora of information, photographs, video clips, and contest information.
Many sites, including Tribute.ca, include movie trailers similar to theatrical previews that can be viewed on a personal computer screen.
