This Canadian web site provides girls aged 14-18 access to technology through workshops in which they design web pages expressing their concerns and opinions.
At girlsareit.com, you will find links to numerous web sites theses young women have skilfully put together which discuss issues of relevance to the young women of today.
These pages are not only informative and supportive for the women and girls who visit them, but they great too. Especially since the page designers claim to have little computer experience!
Through these girls' pages you can access information on maintain healthy relationships, the affects of racism and homophobia, media and the messages it can send, and body image. There are even self-help tips regarding depression and violence.
