Your computer may have anti-virus or firewall software which blocks our authentication process.
NetLibrary uses the referring URL (HTTP-referer) to authenticate that users are from Oxford County Library. Many firewall packages (such as Norton Internet Security, for example) have the ability to block referring URLs.
Turning off the security software may allow you to access the Netlibrary screen with the heading “Welcome to the Oxford County Library eContent Collection”, and create a free account.
If you are using a firewall (either software or hardware) you can create a rule that allows HTTP-referers for the NetLibrary and OCL websites. The way you create these rules varies from vendor to vendor so you will need to contact the vendor of your particular firewall in order to learn how to set things up correctly.
