Research Access

Hours of Access:

Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Access at other times may be arranged with the Archivist by phone at (519) 423-1928 ext. 210.

Appointments are preferred as research space is limited. Advance contact by telephone or e-mail outlining research needs will assist in quicker retrieval of appropriate information.

Accessibility:

The County of Oxford Archives is wheelchair accessible.

Registration of Researchers:

All researchers are required to register with the Archivist prior to accessing any records.

Handling Records:

Due to the unique and irreplaceable nature of archival records, strict handling polices are enforced. Researchers will be provided with cotton gloves when using primary source records. Archives Staff reserve the right to restrict access to original documents, where microfilm or other facsimile exists, and to fragile documents.
